1st Period:
Log into Google Classroom. This week's assignment is called "WWI Warfare." I have made a copy of the assignment for each of you.
Complete the graphic organizer on the first page, using the pages that follow to answer the questions. Type your answers directly into the document.
When you finish the graphic organizer, answer the timeline questions on the last page.

1) Analyze the example letters from World War I.
2) Create your own mock letter as if you were in World War I.

SOAP five Disease documents
Create a 5 paragraph DBQ response to the following prompt:
Explain the continuity & change humanity has experienced in dealing with infectious diseases throughout history.
Weekly Directions:
1st Period:
1) Read the documents about the Treaty of Versailles which ended World War I.
2) Fill out the organizers for each document to help you analyze the Treaty of Versailles.
2nd - 7th Periods:
You will create a brochure detailing one of the global pandemics which have impacted World History over the last two centuries. (You CANNOT choose Covid-19 as you will compare a historical pandemic to it in the brochure.)
You can focus on one of the following global pandemics:
Each brochure should include the following:
Two paragraphs on the historical impact of the pandemic
Major cities/countries impacted by the pandemic.
At least two countries/cities
1-2 sentences detailing the impact on each city/country
Explanation of pandemics effect on Economic life of the era
Explanation of pandemics effect on Political life of the era
Historical quote (from someone who lived DURING the pandemic)
Minimum of five facts about the pandemic. Facts may include
Source of the pandemic
Transmissibility of the viral outbreak
Infection rate
Mortality rate
Total death toll
Treatments
Two paragraphs comparing & contrasting the pandemic with Covid-19.
Minimum of six pictures

Create a 5 paragraph DBQ response to the following prompt:
Evaluate the effects of the strategies implemented by governments which promoted their own visions of industrialization during the period 1750-1900 CE..
(ie. What did governments do to reinforce industrialization? What were the resulting changes of these actions?)
FYI -- This week’s DBQ will be graded on the new 2020 AP Rubric
It differs slightly from what we have used but the underlying concepts remain.

Submit it by midnight Wednesday night.
Then rock out on the AP Exam on Thursday.
