Weekly Directions: Hola! I am so happy that we are all together again! There is a letter attached that tells about our classroom now. The week's lesson instructions are attached. You can work at your convenience. The work is to be completed and submitted Remember you have already had practice and introduction in class with changing AR verbs. So we are jumping back into Unit 7 The Food Unit. The Unit 7 is also attached if needed.

** Read through Mrs. Haworth’s instruction slides for the week for tips and instructions for the week.**
READING: Authentic Food from Morelia. Look at the pdf of 4 recipes from Morelia, Mexico. Choose 1 authentic recipe of your choice from the pdf (list of Mrs. Haworth’s recipes). Create a shopping list of the items needed for that recipe. Also, list the steps in English. Try your best!!!
LISTENING: Find a youtube video of your choice that shows stem-changing verbs. Create a flyer or google doc, 1 page, that lists tips or steps on how to change the stem for verbs in Spanish. Provide 2 examples. (This will go into your Backpack.)
WRITING: Verbos Writing Log: Keep a Daily log on paper or a (google doc) of verbs in the infinitive form, for example ( dormir-to sleep, comer-to eat) that would describe your day. For each day, list 4 verbs. At the end of the week, you must choose 5 verbs to use in 5 different sentences. Make sure that you change the verb to present tense to match the subject. Draw a pic below the sentence or include clipart.
SPEAKING: Practice your SKIT found in the back of your Unit 7 packet with someone in your house. Take turns playing the different roles in the skit.
ASSESS: Exit slip: Listen to the conversation about food. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E77gkXdw-Cw Create a google doc and list food with its Spanish and English translation that is mentioned in the video.

Read through the google slides that were created for this week. Through analyzing data, we are going to focus to conquer the standard and slow down.
In google classroom, find the google slides in the 'Materials.' Then in 'Assignment,' you will find the homework for this week. Please review the slides because its combining all the we have covered for stem-changing verbs so far. Through examining last week's work and quiz, I felt like we needed this step in our learning process. The Assignment is attached in 'assignment' in google classroom.
Speaking: Keep practicing the skit in the packet.
TIPS TO SUBMIT WORK:
Create it on a google doc. Email the google doc or upload it on google classroom or email it to leah.haworth@jefferson.kyschools.us
Write it on paper. Take a picture of your work. Send me the pic via email, or google classroom.
Write the answers in the message of the email.
I am flexible. Whatever is the easiest for you to turn in your work! Take your time! You've got this! We are going to take it a lot slower from now on. I am proud of the work that you are accomplishing! I am proud of your determination and effort. We are slowing down because I need you to GRASP this concept/ Standard with no confusion. Here we go!!!!

Last week!!! I am so proud of you!! I always say that I have the best students in the city!! And I mean that with all my heart! We have one last thing to knock out before the semester is over!
