In PHSE we have learnt about what to do if we have a worry, what are our school rules and why it is important to follow them, consequences and rewards for our actions. We created our own worry monsters and wrote down a worry. We then thought about what we would do if we had a worry. We know that we can talk to any adult in school or can write it down and put it in the worry box in the class and then an adult will discuss it with us.
In PHSE we have been looking at our similarities and differences. We discussed what makes an individual and unique and the importance of treating people with respect. We acted out different scenarios where children were being bullied and what we do if we feel we are being bullied.
In PHSE we have set ourselves goals that we would like to achieve in Year 2 and also celebrated our successes. We have also introduced the zones of regulation in to our classrooms. This helps us to understand how we are feeling and provides strategies to support us.
In Module 4 we have continued to introduced the zones of regulation to our class and have spent time understanding peoples emotions and thinking of ways to self regulate. We have learnt about the importance of staying healthy and the need to relax .
We practised different breathing techniques and meditation.
In this module we continued to deepen our understanding of the zones of regulation. We have learnt how our feelings fluctuate during the day and that there isn't a 'right' zone to be in. We also discussed the importance of positive and negative contact and the impact this can have on others.
In PHSE we have discussed transition and how we feel about moving on into Year 3. We reflected on our year in Year 2 and expressed what we have achieved and are proud of this year.
In RSE we learnt the names of the body parts and discussed the importance of the 'pants rule'.
