In P.E. we have been focusing on gymnastics and ball skills.
In gymnastics we have learnt how to:
to combine 4 elements into a floor sequence.
to create power in a variety of different jumps.
to take weight on our hands and move in different ways.
to perform the point balance arabesque.
to perform a teddy roll.
During our attack, defend and shoot lessons we have learnt how to:
to kick the ball over long and short distances
to stop a ball with control using the foot.
to work as a team to keep the ball.
Throughout Module 2 we focused on our dance and building routines when listening to music. We were able to transfer this skill into our Christmas performance.
In P.E we have been communicating as part of a team, collaborating and problem solving.
In gymnastics we have been focussing on balance and control.
In P.E we have learnt how to develop our balance and control skills by learning how to play tennis. We have done this by balancing tennis balls onto rackets and walking around the MUGA carefully as well as developing our skill of serving the ball to our partner.
This module we have developed our hand to eye coordination, balance and gross motor skills. We have also been practise the skills we need for sports day next module.
