<Method 1> Group Visa Extension On-Site Application
Agency Application Date and Time: 21st, July, 2025 (Mon) 10:00-16:00,

Eligibility for Group Application (Must satisfy all 1-3 conditions):
1) Students wishing to continue registration for the next semester and have paid tuition fees within the deadline.
2) Those whose visa expires before 24th, Oct, 2025.
3) Individuals with a blank space for <Period of Stay> on the back of their Alien Registration Card and have not lost their Alien Registration Card.
Acceptance Agency: Higher Diversity, Hongik University International Language Institute
Estimated Visa Extension Processing Time: About 3 weeks after application (scheduled).
Visa Extension Result: Alien Registration Card with extended visa validity expected to be issued before the end of classes (14th, Aug00, 2025).
📢 Those who missed the agency application date or currently do not possess an Alien Registration Card due to loss (including those without a blank space on the back) should apply for extension through <Method 2>.
📢 For those applying for group visa extensions on-site, the required documents for issuance by the main office will be directly delivered to the designated agency (Hire Diversity). Therefore, there is no need to apply for document issuance separately.
📢 If visa extension is completed but the student has failed 3 times in the same grade level or has a final attendance rate below 80%, according to the institute regulations, both the extension and the validity period of the visa will be nullified simultaneously. Please take note.
<Method 2> Individual Visa Extension Application
Application Date: After receiving the assigned visa extension documents from the homeroom teacher on 23rd, Jul, 2025 (Wednesday)
Application Method: Visit to Immigration Office by appointment or use of Hi Korea electronic application
「Tuition payment certificate」 : Will be distributed through your homeroom teacher On 23rd, July (Wed) 2025.
「Attendance record certificate」 : Apply for the certificate and receive it in person before visiting the Immigration Office or E-application. (It will not be distributed collectively.)
Estimated Visa Extension Processing Time: 6 weeks after application (scheduled)
📢 Individual visa extension applicants will not receive the visa extension documents before the designated distribution date (23rd, April, 2025).
📢 If you have completed your visa extension but have been retained at the same level for three sessions or have an attendance rate below 80%, please be aware that, in accordance with our institution's regulations, you will be dismissed and the extended visa period will also be rendered invalid.
Eligible for Temporary Return During Semester : Whose stay is valid until the end of the summer semester (14th, August, 2025) and who possess an ARC.
However, those who have not applied for the ARC or do not have the Alien Registration Number are not eligible for temporary return (visa will be cancelled upon departure).
Eligible for Temporary Return During Vacation
: Whose stay is vaild until the end of the Fall semester(14th, Nov,2025).
* Please note that students subject to visa extension this semester can only depart after the results of the visa extension application are released.

:From the class opening day(5th, Sep, 2025. Monday), the attendance rate is also counted from the class opening day.
Even not entering after class starts, it will be counted as absence.

Condition 1) Students who have been continuously enrolled at the institute for two or more consecutive semesters, with an attendance rate of 80% or higher each semester based on conditional admission criteria C.
(Semesters studied at the institute before conditional admission criteria C are not counted.)
Condition 2) Completion of Level 3 or higher at our institution or attainment of TOPIK Level 3 or higher (Also accept IBT exam scores).
* Only the results from the 100th TOPIK PBT exam (with scores released on 26th, June, 2025) or 7th TOPIK IBT exam ((with scores released on 4th, July 2025) are valid.
** However, applicants who were admitted to the undergraduate university before September 2024 must follow the previous re-enrollment requirements (TOPIK level 3 or higher, or completion of level 4 or higher at the language institute).
※ Even if the student meets the language requirement (ex: obtains TOPIK) during the semester, they must complete all semesters they are registered for.
(Withdrawal is not allowed during the semester. If withdrawn, the student will be dismissed from the undergraduate program.)
If you lack 「condition 1」 , you can’t register for the next semester.
If you lack 「condition 2」 , you must register for Hoingik language institute for the following semester.
According to Hongik Language Institute's expulsion regulations, those who fail the same grade level three times will be expelled from both Hongik Language Institute and Hongik University.
