Qualification : students in our institute who want the part-time job (*All conditions below must be satisfied.)
1. Those who have a D-4-1 visa and passed 6 months from the date of entry Korea
2. Attendance rate: The average attendance rate in total completed semesters is over 90%
3. Korean language proficiency: Those who have a TOPIK Level 2 or higher
However, Government Scholarship Students (GKS) are not allowed to engage in part-time work during the semester according to the guidelines set by NIIED.
① Prepare all the below required documents and visit the institute office
② Get a confirmation signature of the part-time work confirmation form from the institute officer.
(You cannot receive the signature if the institute deems it is inappropriate to get permission from the immigration office due to not enough documents or etc.)
③ After getting the signature, get issued for the institute school&attendance certificate
④ Bring all the documents, then go to the immigration office to report them.
(You should make a reservation in advance, book a date then visit.)
1. Application form of the immigration office
2.Part-time work confirmation form: The working start day must be after visiting the immigration office, and you should write the working hours accurately. (Weekday and time)
3. A copy of the business registration certificate of your workplace
4. A copy of the Employment contract: The Hourly wage, work content, and work time must be included, and the information should be the same as the part-time work confirmation form.
5. Attendance certificate (Apply for the certificate and get it at the institute before visiting the immigration office,)
6. Proof of Korean efficiency: TOPIK Grade certificate (Only for those who has it)
** According to the individual screening situation, you may be asked for additional documents.
Other short-term (less than 90 days of stay) visa holders will not be able to get a work permit.
The work permit must be reported before the part- time job starts.
The institute can only give permission if the student is the target of the permission.
Work permit holders are limited to work 25 hours a week at the maximum. Without TOPIK 2, you can work only 10 hours a week.
If a student has not received a 'part-time work permission', or have missed filling in some parts (location and working hours, etc.), or have been found that you falsify various documents such as a certificate of attendance, the student shall be punished (limitation of work permits, fines and forced to return) in accordance with Article 18 of the Law, and the KLI immediately notify the student to be expelled in accordance with this regulation, also will not accept to the student to apply for Korean language course in the future.
