World History and Geography A is a required course in which students explore the interdependence of the world’s people. This course examines global geography in order to provide a broad overview of human history and allow students to develop the context for understanding modern global issues. Section A focuses on a regional study of the Middle East, Western Europe, Central and Eastern Europe, and Northern Eurasia. This course builds and assesses competence in knowledge of content, communication (both verbal and written), gathering and researching information, analyzing a variety of historical sources, and making connections. Content will include political geography, as well as social, political, and economic developments; connections will be made to current affairs.
