1. Follow the directions provided by your teacher.
2. While completing the simulation, take notes during the simulation about organic chemistry (You should be able to answer the following questions)
1. Read and take notes on chapter 10: Alkanes
2. Answer the following questions in the Questions and Problems section.
1. Read and take notes on chapter 11: Unsaturated Hydrocarbons
2. Answer the following questions in the Questions and Problems section.
Step 1: Using the modeling kits provided by the teacher, create the molecules below.
Step 2: After creating each molecule, take a picture of the model.
Step 3: In a document, add the pictures and label the molecules created.
Step 4: Submit assignment on Google Classroom.
Notes:
Step 1: Select two molecules from the provided list that has a clear relation to the molecules we have seen within these chapters. (i.e. alkanes, alkenes, alkynes, aromatic molecules, etc.)
** Additional molecules can be suggested and put onto the list. (Inform Ms. Burnett prior to beginning the project for approval of molecule)
Step 2: Research the two molecules you choose.
** Guiding Questions
Step 3: Take the information that you have gathered and make a product.
List of product suggestions: Presentation, research paper (3-5 pages in MLA format), poster (digital and handwritten), video ad, podcast, physical model, digital 3-D model, infomercial, public announcement, webinar, art exhibit, poems, creative writing piece, educational website, infographic, picture book, etc.
