Step 1: As a class, the provided objects will be placed in order of the planets. (Each object represents a planet in our solar system, including pluto)
Step 2: You will compare your order to the actual sizes of the planets. (using ratios and such)
Step 3: You will make adjustments to your model based on Step 2 results.
Step 4: Using 12 inches = 1 AU, you will measure out the solar system.
Step 5: Take and picture and reflect on the model.

- How well does the model actually demonstrate the solar system?
- What realizations have you had while doing this activity?

Step 1: Choose a "planet" to research (chose from below)
- Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Hypothetical "Planet X", Pluto, Ceres or Eris.
Step 2: Create a process journal of your research about your planet.
- Remember to add your resources to where you found specific information.
Step 3: Compile a summary of the information you have found (5 ideas (Honors) and 4 ideas (College Prep), one idea should be specifics about your planet)
(All sources and information needs to be gathered by then)
Step4: Develop a presentation of how you will share this information
- Podcast, Journal Article, Newspaper Article, Model, Poster, Google Slides :(
- Presentations formats need to be discussed with Ms. Burnett and agreed upon
Step 4: Present/show and tell your findings
