Literature Search

Assignment #1: Chapter 1

Step 1: Read chapter 1: Beginning a STEM Research Project and complete the chapter questions.

Step 2: Complete the Chapter Application by identifying 10 potential topics and asking testable questions for each topic.

** These topics have no limits. The goal for this part is to practice creating testable questions.

Step 3: Complete the Student Handout questions for at least three topics.

** These topics are potential topics that you want to research for the semester/ year.

Assignment #3: Literature Search

For two topic chosen for the Student Handout questions, you will provide 10 literature searches about that topic. These literature searches should include the website or book that the information was gathered from cited in proper MLA format.

Each literature Search should have a summary of the article and at least three connections back to your research topic.

Questions should be developed to provide the background information for your research project.

Literature searches should be completed in a document or handwritten in a composition notebook. Digital documents should be attached to Google Classroom with the topic title at the beginning of the Literature page.
