"Que Nadie Sepa Mi Sufrir"
Orquesta Alfredo De Angelis c. Carlos Dante 1953-12-18
Music: Ángel Cabral
Lyrics: Enrique Dizeo
Qué me hiciste
Que no puedo conformarme
Sin poderte contemplar.
Ya que pagaste mal
A mi cariño tan sincero,
Lo que conseguirás
Que no te nombre nunca más.
Amor de mis amores
Si dejaste
De quererme,
No hay cuidado que la gente
De esto no se enterará.
¿Qué gano con decir
que una mujer cambió mi suerte?
Se burlarán de mí
Que nadie sepa mi sufrir.
Amor de mis amores
Reina mía
Qué me hiciste
Que no puedo conformarme
Sin poderte contemplar.
Ya que pagaste mal
A mi cariño tan sincero,
Lo que conseguirás
Que no te nombre nunca más.
Amor de mis amores
Si dejaste
De quererme,
No hay cuidado que la gente
De esto no se enterará.
¿Qué gano con decir
que una mujer cambió mi suerte?
Se burlarán de mí
Que nadie sepa mi sufrir.
"Let no one know I suffer" [Literal Translation]
Don't be shocked if I tell you what you were
An ungrateful bitch with my poor heart,
Because the fire of your cute black eyes
Lit up the path of another love.
Because the fire of your cute black eyes
Lit up the path of another love.
And to think that I adored you tenderly
That for your part I never felt,
As for those weird things in life
Without the kiss of your mouth I saw myself.
As for those weird things in life
Without the kiss of your mouth I saw myself.
Love of my loves
My queen
What did you do to me
That I can not rest
Without seeing you
Since you repaid so poorly
my sincere affection,
What you'll achieve
I'll stop thinking of you.
Love of my loves
If you stopped
loving me,
Have no fear that people
will find out about this.
What do I gain by saying
that a woman changed my luck?
They'll make fun of me
Let no one know I suffer.
Love of my loves
My queen
What did you do to me
That I can not rest
Without seeing you
Since you repaid so poorly
my sincere affection,
What you'll achieve
I'll stop thinking of you.
Love of my loves
If you stopped
loving me,
Have no fear that people
will find out about this.
What do I gain by saying
that a woman changed my luck?
They'll make fun of me
Let no one know I suffer.

Its version in French, is well-known as "The Foule", was a great success for Édith Piaf in 1957, but in this version the song only uses the original music, since the lyrics used were re-written by Michel Rivgauche.
