We all want to have a safe and high standard work environment, cause, truth be told, we spend a lot of our time together. As an employer, EMG, have obligations towards our employees, where one of them is to secure a safe and high standard work environment. You can read more about this under "Work environment management"
As an employee you are also an important part of securing our joint work environment and being employed means that you also undertake some basic obligations towards the employer when you enter into an employment contract. The obligations are stated by law and apply even if they are not stated in the written employment contract.
As an employee, you have in principle six obligations in connection to your employment:
Work duty;
- work of certain quality
- work of certain quantity
- work in a certain manner
To cooperate
Follow orders and regulations
Have a valid reason for absence
Be responsible and care for entrusted property
Be loyal (read more about Employee loyalty below)
In brief, loyalty means an obligation of the employee to put the interest of the employer ahead of personal interests and avoid situations entailing a collision of interests. Disloyalty can be to conduct competing activities or participate in a business that competes with the employer's. Disloyalty can also be talking bad about the employer and spreading lies. Freedom of expression does not give the employee the right to breach the loyalty commitment in the employment contract.
