At EMG we aim to maintain a good relationship between EMG and you as an employee. We see that having an offboarding program is as important as an onboarding program. Offboarding is also a great opportunity for us to get feedback from you about your time at our workplace. Of course, we want you to leave with a smile at your face 😊
Read more below about how the offboarding program looks like at EMG.
When (or if) you are about to resign from EMG, you have to talk with your closest manager. It´s important that your closest manager get the information first so you can discuss and specify your last day in the company. Once that is done. you send a resignation email to your closest manager. Here we want you to specify the date of resignation and your last day in the company (based on what you and your closest manager agreed upon).
If you don't know your notice period, you will be able to find it in your employment agreement that you can find in BambooHR under documents.
Once you and your manager have agreed about your last day and the email has been sent it´s time to let the team know. Your closest manager are responsible for this part so it is important that you set a plan together. If you are uncertain if your team knows about your resignation, please talk with your manager. We encourage our managers to inform the team as soon as possible.
Once everyone in the team is informed, your closest manager will offboard you in BambooHR. When that has been done, HR will trigger different tasks for you, your manager and IT Services to complete.
Once of the tasks that will be triggered to you by BambooHR is to leave your computer, phone and office key to your closest manager.
An offboarding interview will be scheduled by HR for employees who are probationary or permanently employed. The interview will take about 30 minutes and your answers will not be shared with your closest manager unless you like to.
As the interview, the offboarding survey will only be sent out to those employees who are probationary or permanently employed. The survey takes about 10 minutes to complete and covers the areas; reason for leaving EMG, next career step, the employees time at EMG, the manager's contribution and the likelihood of recommending EMG as an employer. HR will analyze the results on a half-yearly basis to examine reasons for turnover at EMG.
In the offboarding survey that will be sent out by HR during your last week, you will be asked to join our EMG Alumni network. The network is a way for us to gather all former employees again and have happy after works together 😍
A Certificate of Employment, also called an Employment Certificate, is issued by HR to verify employment history of a former or current employee. The Certificate of Employment is a statement of fact of the employment of the employee and is not a recommendation.
To get an Employment Certificate by HR, the you have to request one by using this link.
An employee recommendation letter describe both the job role and requirements. It also includes an shorter evaluation about you as an employee. If you would like a recommendation letter, please talk with your closest manager.
