All Time Off is to be requested for via BambooHR. In BambooHR you'll see which Time Off types that applies for you, depending on employment and other factors. Vacation is an important part of your work life and the idea behind the regulatory system regarding vacation is to guarantee that employees have the opportunity to rest and recover.
In Denmark you are entitled to 5 weeks of vacation per year.
The five weeks of vacation are taken during the Danish Vacation Year, which runs from 1 September to 31 August
You earn paid vacation from 1 September to 31 August each calendar year at the rate of 2.08 days per month. These days you can use during the same period with an extension to 31 of December.
You are entitled to take 3 consecutive weeks’ annual leave during the main holiday period which runs from 1 May to 30 September.

In Denmark you are entitled to sick pay from day 1 if you have been employed for at least 8 weeks prior to sick leave and have been working at least 74 hours during that period.
After the first 14 calendar days, the employee must be able to present a valid medical certificate to be entitled to sick pay.

According to the danish law, parents can receive a total of 52 weeks of paid leave per child from the government. The amount that the parents are entitled to is less than the amount of a full salary.
If you are pregnant, you can take four weeks off before the child is born as pregnancy leave.
With regard to taking time off after the child arrives, mothers are entitled to take 14 weeks of maternity leave. During these first 14 weeks, the father (or co-mother) can take two consecutive weeks off as well. Afterwards, both parents are entitled to split 32 weeks of parental leave, which can be further extended by another 14 weeks.

Care of sick child is when you stay home from work to take care of a sick child. When you are off work due to Care of sick child you will not receive any salary from EMG, instead you apply for remuneration from Försäkringskassan, the compensation you receive is called temporary parental benefit.

Loosing a close one is of course hard. To be able to attend the funeral of a close relative, one day paid leave is given when the funeral is in Sweden on week days. If the funeral is abroad and requires travel on week days, one extra day's paid leave is given. In connection to a funeral of a close relative you also have the opportunity of extra unpaid days.
"Close relative" include husband and wife, cohabitants, children, parents, siblings and grandparents.

As an employer we want to help you release that stress a bit by offer all permanent employed employees one day paid leave on moving day. You apply for moving day to your closest manager in Bamboo.

Are you getting married? - Yay, hurray!
If you are getting married EMG gives you the wedding day off as one day paid leave. This only applies for you who are permanently employed and if the wedding day is not in July. It is also possible to take unpaid leave days before the wedding day.

Navigate to Home and click "Request Time Off" in the My Info widget.
Enter the date(s) of the time off request.
Select the Time Off type.
Enter the amount. The amount will default to the default number of hours per day or 1 day if you are tracking the time off type in days instead of hours. If a time off request is over a company holiday, the amount will automatically default to 0 for that day.
Enter a note regarding the request.
Future balance. This will show you what your balance will be for each time off type on the first day of your request. Click the calculator icon to change the date in order to see your future balances as of a different date.
Send your request for approval.
Updating or canceling a time off request can be done two different ways:
Navigate to the Time Off tab and hover over the future request in the Upcoming Time Off section. Click on the edit button that appears upon hover.
Navigate to the Time Off tab and select the type you'd like to show from the History. Notice that there are two parts to the history: Earned/Used and Requests. Be sure to click "Requests" in order to see the request history. Then click on the status link next to the request you'd like to update.
Once you are viewing the request details, you can change the date, type, amount, or note. Then click "Save." Or, you can click "Cancel Request" if you no longer need to take the time off.
Good to know:
In order for a manager to update/cancel a request, it must be approved first.
As an employee, you can always edit a request if it is in the future. If the request is in the present or past, an administrator will need to update the request on your behalf, so here you need to contact you HR Business Partner.
