When the last person for the day goes home he/she activates the alarm (see below for instructions) for perimeter security, which means that both entrance doors are closed (locked) and alarm activated.
For any questions regarding the alarm, contact IT Services.
If you accidentally trigger the alarm (even if you disengage it again right away) make sure that you have joined the #alarm-stockholm -channel on Slack, send a message in here notifying everyone that there's been a false alarm as well as call this number: 076 127 42 22. When you call that number you will reach Alex Müller, Liza Andersin, Simon Gustafsson or Fredrik Söderlindh.
The first one that comes in the morning need to disengage the alarm. You can only do this from the main entrance at the reception. You need to get in through the first door using your tag and PIN, then look at the inner door reader, if the padlock is red and locked the alarm is activated and the majority of the office lamps will also be turned off if the alarm is armed.
You have to have access that allows for entry to the office at the time you're trying to enter. If you're unsure what access you have you can always check in with IT Services and if you need extended access your manager can request it by submitting a support ticket.
In order to deactivate the alarm start by Pressing #, then place your card/tag against the reader which will prompt you for your PIN, input the PIN and wait a few seconds. If you input the correct PIN and have access you will hear the bolt disengaging and you will see the lights turn on in the office.
The display panel will also change to a yellow / green unlocked padlock.
First you have to make absolutely certain that you're the last person at the office, take a lap and yell out asking for anyone else, there are several occasions where coworkers have been locked in sitting behind their monitors or being in the bathrooms. Next up you have to make sure that all doors and windows are properly closed and that you're standing in the main entrance with both doors closed.
Now that you have made sure no one else is in the office and that all doors and windows are properly closed you arm the alarm by pressing #, then placing your tag on the reader followed by your PIN. You will hear a beeping sound starting and you now have about 30 seconds to exit the main external door and make sure it's closed.
Stay outside of the office until you see the lights turn off and the panel to change back to a red locked padlock before you leave.
In case there is a false alarm (someone accidentally activating the alarm while people are still in the office or similar scenarios) you can disable the alarm if you are still within your access time, if not you will not be able to disable it.
If you're lucky you can get help from Securitas posted at Karlavägen 100, but they are often patrolling Garnisonen and don't always have a presence at their desk. They are also able to help disabling the alarm, if you request this from them you need to have proper ID on your person.
Even if you're able to disable the alarm Securitas will have been notified, so this part is extremely important for us to avoid unnecessary billing from Securitas:
Make sure that you have joined the #alarm-stockholm -channel on Slack, send a message in here notifying everyone that there's been a false alarm as well as call this number: (+46) 8 509 106 80 . When you call that number you will reach Alex Müller, Liza Andersin, Simon Gustafsson or Fredrik Söderlindh.
Let them know there has been a false alarm triggered and they will be able to communicate with Securitas and make sure that they don't send security guards to check up on the alarm and then we also avoid unnecessary billing.
