Grade 7 Music will provide a comprehensive and relevant music education for students, enabling them to experience active music making through the use of song, instruments, and movement. Students will also learn music has evolved over history, differs among cultures, and how music theory is interweaved in every piece of music. Students will explore pop music and how to create it through guided learning, they will also develop their composition skills, and explore music and staging from the British Isles.

CLASSROOM EXPECTATIONS
TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE: All students are required to attend all classes and be on time.
KNOW YOUR SURROUNDINGS: Be respectful and mindful of your peers and the instruments. Do not play an instrument unless given permission to do so.
LEAVE IT CLEANER THAN YOU FOUND IT: You are expected to clean up after yourself everyday. Do not leave instruments out of place, trash on the floor, or your stuff in the classroom. Pick up after yourself.
LANGUAGE POLICY: English is the official language at CDS. You are expected to speak English at all times in the Music room. This includes: lab, EC, blank periods, lunch, etc...
