In English Language Arts 5 students will explore writing for a variety of purposes and focus on reading both fictional and informational texts of increasing complexity. Students will partake in frequent collaborative discussions where they will have an opportunity to voice their ideas and build off those voiced by their peers. Each term will end with a culminating assessment that will measure student proficiency with skills specific to ELA.
