High School Level I is an introductory course for students with little or no prior experience with the language. It is designed to build a strong foundation and provide students with opportunities to use the target language from day one. Students at this level use single sentences to communicate. Can understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases aimed at the satisfaction of needs of a concrete type. Can introduce him/herself and others and can ask and answer questions about personal details such as where he/she lives, people he/she knows and things he/she has. Can interact in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help.

*Performance tasks can be retaken (there may be some requirements like coming to Lab or doing some prior preparation work) if time permits.
**Projects and meaningful tasks will be still used as a way to acquire skills but done in class and included in the Homework section grade as completion.
Students will be expected to:
