Schedule a facilitated event and pay the facilitator up front
Event Idea - Esther Perel's 'Where Should We Begin Cards'
We're excited to introduce a captivating event idea for your chapter: An Evening of Storytelling & Discovery with Esther Perel’s “Where Should We Begin?” conversation game. This unique gathering is designed to deepen connections within your community through the power of storytelling and reflective conversation. To assist you in hosting this event, we've prepared a comprehensive facilitation guide that outlines everything from welcoming your guests to concluding the evening with meaningful reflections. It even includes various gameplay options to suit your needs.
Here is the link to the facilitation guide
Many of you were interested in getting your hands on these cards. Since there was such a demand, we're offering gift cards for chapter leads interested in purchasing a set of Esther Perel's “Where Should We Begin?” cards. If you’re eager to bring this enriching experience to your chapter, please reach out to Jessie for your gift card and start planning your event today.
In-Person Event Facilitation Training
What big burning questions do you have about facilitating great in-person Culture First events?
Our dear friend, Jenny Sauer Klein, has offered to do some training with us on how to host great in-person events. What do you wish you knew? Is it about the planning and crafting a clear invitation? Is it about location and venue? Is it about room set up? Is it about having a gameplan for how many people show up? Ping me on slack with your burning questios. I'll send them to her and we'll get a session scheduled with her!
Partnered Chapter Events
Some of you may be interested in hosting a partnered or sponsored event with organizations. Here what you need to know:
This is totally fine!
You can get them listed as a partner on your event pages
Be clear that this a Culture First event and the event needs to be published on Bevy to track registrants
Make sure you still repeat our purpose and principles at every gathering
Be clear about our principle of 'connection inside, business outside' with them. No active pitching at our events
For the post event, we cannot share our registrant's emails. However, we can send something to them to have them opt in for communications with the partner or sponsor
If you have more questions, don't be afraid to ask.
Metrics That Matter
I can't preach this enough... Quality >>> quantity!
Keep things simple! It's easy to get caught in the trap of number of registrants, but the success of a healthy community is the number of members that show up to your events over and over again. Focus on the relationship building and watch the ripple effect grow from there.
Also please remember to check-in your community members to your events on Bevy. This is the primary way we are able to track how engaged our community is. You can do this on the dashboard or you can download the 'Bevy Organizer App' on your mobile device.
