Esther Perel is Culture Amp's First External Advisor!
Culture Amp proudly welcomes Esther Perel, a globally renowned workplace thought leader, psychotherapist, and New York Times bestselling author, as our first external advisor.
Esther will be providing her invaluable counsel and thought-leadership to Culture Amp, and in turn to it's cherished customers.
Esther is a leading voice on navigating relationships in the workplace and the impact they have on the employee experience. We don't magically become different people when we walk into our office. Once considered a “soft skill” in the workplace, relational intelligence is now one of the top currencies of business success.
Esther Perel and Culture Amp have worked together in various meaningful ways since 2019. Notably, she has been a keynote at Culture First Global and a recurrent, valued guest on the Culture First Podcast.
See Esther in action! We are thrilled to announce her as a keynote speaker at this year's Culture First Global event happening on May 14th (N. America + EMEA) / May 15th (APAC)
*P.S. If you're interested in hosting an in-person viewing party or a post conference insights session with your chapter following Culture First Global, let Jessie know. We're putting together plans for this now.
Culture First at Transform 2024 in March
We're sponsoring Transform! It’s happening from March 11th to 13th in the vibrant city of Las Vegas, and we’re looking to make a big splash. Here’s the scoop: Transform Conference
A bunch of our community members will be there, speaking (i.e. Zech Dahms, Christy Tonge, Craig Forman), soaking up insights, sharing ideas, and of course, having a lot of fun! We want to make our presence felt, and it would be awesome to have as many of us there as possible.
Got plans to join? Fantastic! Shoot me a DM on slack, and I’ll add you to our private Slack channel. It’s where all the pre-conference buzz and coordination will happen.
Need a little nudge to join us? Our community's got a discount code. Here is the link to access the discount.
Event Idea - Esther Perel's 'Where Should We Begin Cards'
What are these?
Created by renowned relationship expert Esther Perel, Where Should We Begin is a game designed to bring out the storyteller in each of us. These conversation cards are a great way to spark meaningful discussions for couples, friends and co-workers.
*** This game can be yours! Our chapters community is being gifted 10 cards sets. If you would like one of these for your chapter, you will need to:
Host an in-person gathering for your community to play these cards
Be one of the first 10 people to send Jessie a DM on slack saying 'Esther Perel cards please!'
Pro-Tip from the Madison Chapter
Host a virtual chapter meeting with your chapter 15 - 30 mins prior to a global chapter event and then have everyone attend the global chapter event.
Genius! It's a great way to build connection for your members and helps you to feel connected before hopping on to a giant global chapter meeting. Also another way to host just one more chapter event and keep your community engaged. Shoutout to Sarah + Jennifer + Corrie!
Metrics That Matter
I can't preach this enough... Quality >>> quantity!
It's easy to get caught in the trap of number of registrants, but the success of a healthy community is the number of members that show up to your events over and over again. Focus on the relationship building and watch the ripple effect grow from there.
Also please remember to check-in your community members to your events on Bevy. This is the primary way we are able to track how engaged our community is. You can do this on the dashboard or you can download the 'Bevy Organizer App' on your mobile device.

Join us in an interactive discussion with Linkage, a SHRM companies’ new book, In Her Own Voice: A Woman's Rise to CEO: Overcoming Hurdles to Change the Face of Leadership written by Jennifer McCollum. Jennifer is the former CEO of Linkage, a global leadership development firm.
In this book, it shares research into the specific hurdles facing women in business. It offers advice and empowerment for any woman striving to advance in her career and any organization ready to improve gender equity. 'Whether we’re contending with our own inner critic, being expected to prove our value time and again, or navigating the often-intimidating world of negotiating for ourselves, women today still have unique obstacles as we advance our careers—but they need not become roadblocks.' This book shows readers how they can overcome these obstacles with very specific and actionable steps such as quieting your inner critic, discarding biases, building confidence, gaining clarity about the future, and more.
This book club will be a 90-minute interactive zoom session which will include breakout room discussions. We'll cover the key themes of the book including the 7 hurdles to advancement and the competencies to scale them, with a focus on the uber hurdle, our Inner critic. During our time, we will create space for reflection and discussion around our own inner critic by learning how to identify our triggers and coach our inner critic to a compassionate center. This session will also be recorded and shared afterwards.
**Lastly, if you have ideas for speakers or content for the global chapter, please let Jessie know!
