This is one of the four graphs included in the quilt block. This graph is the largest one as it shows the largest gender pay gap amongst the four sports presented on the quilt block. This bar graph shows the pay gap between NBA and WNBA. The graph shows that the gap is at over 10 million dollars, clearly showing the issue of gender pay gao in sports.
Accompanying the graphs are the league logos for each sport. In this image, the logos for men's basketball (NBA), women's basketball (WNBA), men's soccer (MLS), and women's soccer (NWSL) are shown. Also, not shown in the image but included on the quilt are the men's tennis (ATP), women's tennis (WTA), men's golf (PGA), and women's golf (LPGA) logos. These logos are included on the quilt to show which sports and sport leagues have a gender pay gap issue that needs to be fixed.
This image of one of the other sports graphs is included within the quilt block. I chose to represent the tennis team as the final detail as I have been a tennis player my whole life and currently play on the team here at Cornell. Also, this graph shows some hope for the issue of the gender pay gap in sports as the gap for tennis is minimal in comparison to the other sports and the gap has been shrinking over the past few years and continues to shrink. Accompanying this graph is the soccer and golf pay gap graphs as these three graphs are presented in a smaller size in comparison to basketball as the pay gap is smaller in these three sports and thus is why they are presented in a more minimal way within the quilt block.
