I chose to place a paw print in the center of my quilt because this is the logo that represents awareness for animal cruelty to all animals. 

This percentage represents the population of dogs that have been abused globally. Stating that dogs are a common victim to animal cruelty. The purple used for the backdrop is a color that is used to help show awarness for animal cruelty.

The statistic here is to help show that the main animals who are abused and killed on a yearly basis are farm animals.  I used the color orange as the backdrop because this is another color that stands for animal cruelty. Usually there's always a ribbon to go along with showing awareness and for animal  cruelty there's an orange one that stands for animal guardian which is also why I chose to use the color orange.
