• 一般社団法人設立の趣旨：

一般社団法人 アジア資本市場協議会（CMAA）は、任意団体として2007年6月19日に設立したアジア資本市場協議会CMAAの名称とその目的を引き継ぐとともに、新たに一般社団法人の枠組みにより、

(1) アジア域内の金融資本市場と関連法規制制度システム等についての関係者間の付加価値的な議論を推進し、 

(2) アジア域内の金融資本市場法規制制度の設計及び域内金融資本市場と市場システムインフラの創出･育成･発展に貢献し、もって 

(3)市場参加者による金融資本市場取引及び企業金融取引の円滑化と、公正な価格形成機能を備えた域内市場の健全な発展に資することを目指しています。

• 目的等：

この法人は、アジア域内の各国各地域並びに横断的･包括的な金融資本市場と法規制システムを含む各種市場システムインフラの創出･育成･発展、及び同域内の企業団体をはじめとする市場参加者による金融資本市場取引並びに企業金融取引の円滑化に資することを目的としています。

この法人は、上記の目的に資するため、アジア域内の金融資本市場関連法規制、金融資本市場法実務、及び関連市場インフラ・市場制度等に関して、次の事業を行います。

(1) 域内横断的な調査、分析を含む包括的研究、並びに市場関係者による横断的・包括的な議論の支援

(2) 域内横断的市場慣行等についての会員及び市場関係者に対する助言

(3) 会員への情報の提供、及び広報活動

(4) コンサルティング業務

(5) 研究等の受託業務

(6) 各国政府規制当局を含む市場関係者への支援と関係者の育成のための事業

(7) 前各号の事業に附帯する事業

事業活動実施に当たっての補足事項：この法人は、国際的な資本市場の関係団体等との友好な関係を保ち、「アジア地域」を対象としながらも常にグローバルな市場の実務と慣行に照らしつつ、持続可能な域内横断的プロ向け資本市場の標準となるべき市場慣行等市場インフラの形成に貢献することを目指します。したがって、この法人は、域内の個別市場に固有の問題等について勧告を行うことは想定していません。

• Activity status: Income-generating activities have been suspended since the beginning. However, voluntary activities by each participant have been continuing

• Purpose of the establishment of a general incorporated association:
  The Capital Markets Association of Asia (CMAA), a general incorporated association, was re-established in 2018 under the framework of a new general incorporated association. CMAA is inheriting the name and purpose of the Capital Markets Association of Asia (CMAA), established in 2007 as a voluntary organization. 

CMAA aims to do the following;
(1) Promote value-added discussions among stakeholders on financial and capital markets and related legal and regulatory systems in the Asian region;
(2) Contribute to the design of financial and capital market legal and regulatory systems within the Asian region and the creation, development, and development of regional financial and capital markets and market system infrastructure;
(3) To facilitate financial and capital market transactions and corporate financing transactions by market participants and to contribute to the sound development of the regional market with fair price formation functions.

• Purpose:
  This corporation is responsible for creating, developing, and developing various market system infrastructures, including cross-sectional and comprehensive financial capital markets and legal and regulatory systems in each country and region within the Asian region, and for market participants such as business associations within the region. The purpose is to contribute to facilitating financial and capital market transactions and corporate finance transactions. 

• Business items:
  To contribute to the above objectives, this association will carry out the following businesses related to financial and capital market laws and regulations, financial and capital market legal practices, and related market infrastructure and market systems in the Asian region.

1. 1. Cross-regional surveys, comprehensive research including analysis, and support for cross-sectional and thorough discussions by market participants

   2. Advice to members and market participants on cross-regional market practices, etc.

   3. Provision of information to members and public relations activities

   4. Consulting services

   5. Commissioned work, such as research

   6. Projects to support and train market participants, including government regulators of each country

   7. Business incidental to the business of each of the preceding items

Supplementary notes on conducting business activities:
This corporation maintains friendly relations with international capital market-related organizations, etc., and while targeting the "Asia region," always in light of the practices and customs of the global market, We aim to contribute to the formation of market infrastructure such as market practices that should become the standard for a sustainable cross-regional capital market for professionals. Therefore, this association is not expected to recommend issues specific to individual markets within the region.
