Squash Training with Epworth - 9 May
On Thursday afternoon, we had the pleasure of hosting a fun-filled session with Epworth squash coach Alan McGuigan and his first team players. Among them were Tammy Galliers, our Clifton squash captain of 2021, and Amy Gerber, a former pupil of Brian's. They were delighted to return to our Clifton courts and lead training sessions with our girls.
The first 15 Clifton players, on a first-come, first-served basis, had the opportunity to participate. It was a lively atmosphere with plenty of enjoyment on the courts. The children engaged in creative and enjoyable activities to enhance their court fitness and movement skills. They also received guidance on improving their racquet skills and ball accuracy.
To conclude the session, the children played alongside the team leaders, adding to the enjoyment of the experience. They all expressed that they had a great time and gained new insights. Additionally, each child received an Easter egg from Alan, an Epworth lanyard, and delicious treats from our Clifton kitchen team.
Given the success of the event, we have decided to make this clinic an annual occurrence.
