Mini Soccer
In our Grade 1 & 2 Boys Mini Soccer programme, our main focus is to ensure that coaching sessions are enjoyable for the young boys. Our goal is to nurture a love for the sport while enhancing their athletic skills, with particular emphasis on improving eye-foot coordination.
It has been truly inspiring to witness the boys' skill development throughout the term, as they showcased their progress during the mini festivals. Each one of the Grade 1 and 2 boys displayed enthusiasm and excitement while on the field. Credit is due to our dedicated coaches for their high-energy approach to coaching sessions and Mrs Jelliman for organising the mini festivals. Grade 1s focused on structure and moving the ball, whereas the Grade 2s focused on playing more than one position and the responsibilities that each position and play entails, as well as the value of ball possession when defending.
Throughout this term, we had the privilege of participating in six festivals, one of which we organised ourselves. These experiences allowed the boys to grasp the distinctions between playing at home and away games. Furthermore, it provided valuable insights into what it means to host other teams, a lesson learned from our travels and the hospitality extended to us by other schools.
