“The Story of Bees Continued.” Chapter 2
The Bees are buzzing with excitement as we reach the middle of our journey in Grade 000, but….where did all the time go? I could not believe we were at the end of the second semester until having to reflect on all that had happened in the Bee class.
Our hive has been filled with creativity and imagination. We have painted, and dressed up, squeezed glue for collage work, and built fairy gardens and tall towers with blocks, magnet tiles, and Lego. All this fun, oblivious to the fact that so much learning, negotiating, and problem-solving was taking place.
Our little legs are stronger and more steady as we run, climb, slide, swing and ride the bicycles and scooters up and down the cycle track.
And just like bees collecting pollen, we are gathering new information ank skills like learning to count and sing number ryhmes .
Our communication skills are flourishing like a field of sunflowers too. How clever we were to sit on a stage in front of all our Grannies, Grampas singing about the bumble bee we accidentally squashed. Sorry baby bumble bee!
We have been building strong bonds with all our hive friends, supporting each other like worker bees. Many new friendships have been established that are as sweet as honey. Psychomotor is the highlight of the week of course, where many have learnt to fly and overcome their fears.
“Keep buzzing, little Bees! You are making our hive a joyful and busy place to be. This aging Queen Bee cannot wait to see what the rest of the year holds!
