Grade 6 - Termly Update

This term has been action-packed for our Grade 6 boys and girls, featuring sports, learning adventures, and plenty of fun. The children thoroughly enjoyed the sports and cultural activities on offer. The boys excelled on the rugby field, showcasing their teamwork, resilience, and sportsmanship. Meanwhile, the girls demonstrated their skills and team spirit with outstanding performances on the hockey field. We are immensely proud of their achievements and the friendships they have formed along the way.

Mrs Osler led a study skills workshop, offering fantastic tips and tricks to help our Grade 6s improve their study habits, manage their time wisely, and take effective notes, preparing them for their first senior primary exams. Their dedication and determination have been remarkable, as they have put in significant effort, studied diligently, attended extra lessons, and sought help from their teachers. These exams are a significant milestone, and we are incredibly proud of their commitment to learning and growth.

The boys and girls were treated to a hike to Cliff’s Dam where they had a picnic to commemorate the end of their term 2 exams.

The Grade 6s were also fortunate enough to have an SEL workshop and an outdoor learning day with Mr Quinn where they learnt invaluable skills. They also celebrated the talents of their friends at the SP Music Recital.

One of the term's most exciting highlights was our project-based learning day. The children engaged in hands-on activities, worked on group projects, and tackled fun challenges. They enjoyed applying what they had learnt in various subjects while using their creativity, critical thinking, and teamwork skills. It was a day filled with excitement and discoveries!

We have a special trip planned to Babanango next term. It promises to be an incredible experience, featuring learning, nature exploration, team-building activities, and lasting memories.

This term has been nothing short of incredible. From thrilling sports adventures to the study skills workshop, exam preparations, a hike and picnic, the SEL workshop, outdoor learning day and the unforgettable project-based learning day, our Grade 6 boys and girls have demonstrated their dedication, enthusiasm, and eagerness to grow. We are extremely proud of them and look forward to seeing them enjoy all that Term 3 has to offer.
