Trip to Spirit of Adventure - 12-14 June

After weeks of anticipation, our grade 2s finally departed for their Spirit of Adventure school trip. Upon arrival at the venue, there was great excitement as the children were reunited with their favourite camp leaders from the Term 1 trip. After settling in and having a quick lunch, our little adventurers were on their way to participate in their first activities consisting of a treasure hunt-type Rubber Stamp Orientation game, followed by rock climbing and abseiling. Our champions showed incredible bravery and perseverance to conquer these literally breathtaking activities! Thereafter it was back to camp for some dinner before a few rounds of “Stalk the Lantern” in the reserve before bed.

Day 2 was an action-packed day, starting with round 2 of abseiling and rock climbing. This was followed by rafting on the beautiful Shongweni Dam. The next item on the itinerary was a demonstration of speed and strength through the obstacle course and finally ending off with ziplining.

The Spirit of Adventure team put on an excellent show of Pick-a-Box for our boys and girls after a nighttime nature walk, bringing our trip to a close. Our little adventurers had an action-packed two days and made us immensely proud by never backing down from a challenge, seizing and conquering each task they faced.

Thank you to Spirit of Adventure for yet another superb camp.
