Pre-Primary and Junior Primary Grandparents Day - 17 June

Grandparents Day is a most special day on the Clifton Calendar. It was a day to celebrate and honour our Grandparents by presenting a Pre-Primary and Junior Primary show. The performances showcased our Clifton boys and girls talents as they sang, danced, and recited poems in English and ensuring that the Afrikaans and isiZulu languages were equally represented.

When looking into the audience one was touched by the sheer delight, immense pride, and complete enjoyment that our Grandparents had during each performance. They laughed loudly, cheered encouragingly, and beamed with pride as each grandparent watched their grandchild perform.

At the show's end, the children invited their Grandparents to tea, and many scones and chocolate brownies were shared. Our children were so proud of their school, classrooms, and the work that they have produced. Grannies and grandpas were seen spending much time in the various classrooms.

Grandparents are said to be a delightful blend of laughter, caring deeds, wonderful stories, and love. The resounding success of this event provided us with an opportunity to embrace and celebrate our grandparents. We cannot wait to do it again next year!
