Dear Clifton Notties Families,
As we reach the end of another vibrant and fulfilling term, we would like to take a moment to reflect on the wonderful experiences we've shared and to wish you all a restful and enjoyable break.
Dear Clifton Parents,
This week, as I walked around the school one afternoon, I came across five Grade 7 girls at the far section below Greene field. They were busy going down Bob Sled Hill on their sleds, each time climbing the steep hill before letting go again, sliding, falling, rolling, and then getting back up. They paused briefly to greet my visitor and me very politely before returning to their seemingly pointless exercise.
Dear Clifton Community,
This week, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to making our Family Fun Day last Saturday an incredible success. It was truly one of the most special days I have ever experienced at Clifton.
Dear Clifton Parents,
Over the past few weeks, we've explored the emotions we most wish for our children – hope and happiness. As we navigate these times together, let's reflect on the words of Dr. Chris Peterson, who summed up positive psychology in three simple words: "Other people matter." Building and nurturing relationships is key to finding happiness.
Dear Clifton Family,
I hope this newsletter finds you well and that everyone has settled back into the school routine after the half-term break. It has been a good week back, filled with enthusiasm, learning, and reconnecting with friends and teachers. The energy and positivity in our classrooms and around the campus are truly uplifting, and I am proud of how smoothly the transition has been for all our children.
Dear Clifton Community,
I often hear from parents about their concerns regarding their child's disappointment in not being selected for sports teams and how it impacts their self-confidence. In this week's newsletter, I'd like to offer some perspective on this issue and provide guidance on how parents can support their children through such challenges during their school journey.
Dear Clifton Community,
I trust this weekly newsletter finds you all well.
The changing seasons are unmistakably upon us, with our campus adorned in a vibrant array of colours. Alongside this physical transformation, there's been a noticeable shift in the atmosphere among our children. With the start of the second term, we've witnessed a renewed level of confidence and engagement.
Dear Parents,
I am thrilled to share some exciting news regarding the ongoing estates project here at Clifton. With the remarkable help of our estates committee under the incredible leadership of Dirk van den Berg, the aim of this project is to create a long-term estate plan which embodies our commitment to the preservation of childhood amidst our campus's natural beauty.
Dear Parents,
Welcome back! It's with great joy that I extend my warmest greetings as we embark on another new term together.
Thank you for entrusting us with your child's education, it's a responsibility we cherish deeply, as we remain committed to nurturing your child's potential while prioritising their safety and well-being.
