Dear GMH Families,

As we kick off Teacher Appreciation Week, I want to spotlight the incredible educators who choose to teach middle school every day. As many of you have said, "It takes a special person to teach middle school" – and our GMH teachers prove this daily.

Teaching adolescents requires a unique skill set. Our students undergo a great deal of change throughout their four years at GMH! Our teachers must expertly deliver content while guiding students through the emotional ups and downs of these critical years. They adjust to constantly changing social dynamics while maintaining high academic standards – a balance that demands exceptional patience and heart.

Many of you have shared how our teachers have made a difference for your children. Throughout this school year, I have been overwhelmed with the support shown, stories shared, and examples of the positive impact our teachers have each day with your students. These stories match what our data shows: GMH is moving in the right direction. These aren't isolated examples – they represent what happens in our classrooms every day.

I'm especially thankful for the GMH families who consistently support our school through PTSA, volunteering, and participating in school events. This partnership between engaged families and dedicated teachers creates the foundation for student success. This week, thanks to our PTSA, NJHS, and community partners, our teachers will enjoy various appreciation activities that highlight how much they matter.

When we look at the bigger picture, our teachers make a tremendous impact at this critical stage in your child's development. They approach their work with expertise and genuine care, showing up ready every day despite the challenges.

As we celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week, I invite all families to join me in thanking our teachers through a simple email, note, or word of encouragement. Together, we create the positive environment that helps our students thrive.

With appreciation, Mr. Robinson
