Dear GMH Families,
As we approach the next two weeks, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the incredible individuals who make our school community truly special. At GMH, we are blessed with a remarkable team of educators and support staff who go above and beyond every single day to support our students' growth, learning, and well-being.
Our teachers are the heart of our school, approaching their work with intentionality and care that extends far beyond traditional instruction. They craft thoughtful lesson plans, provide emotional support, and create nurturing learning environments that help our students thrive. What makes our teachers truly exceptional is their unwavering commitment to seeing each student as an individual with unique potential.
I also want to shine a spotlight on our incredible support staff, who are the backbone of our school's daily operations:
Our dedicated custodians work tirelessly to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming learning environment for our students and staff. Mr. Dowdy, Ms. McIntosh, Ms. Cummings, and Ms. Russell are all appreciated!
Our Treasurer (Ms. Bell) and Data Manager (Ms. Bland) ensure the smooth running of our school's administrative processes, carefully managing enrollment, student information, and critical curriculum resources.
Our cafeteria team (Ms. Shofner, Ms. Cheek, and provides nutritious meals that fuel our students' bodies and minds, serving both breakfast and lunch with care and dedication.
As I often say, it truly takes a village – and our village at GMH is extraordinary.
I want to encourage our families to take the next two weeks to show appreciation for these remarkable individuals. Appreciation doesn't have to be monetary – a heartfelt note, a simple thank you, or a small gesture of gratitude can mean the world to our hardworking staff. Your recognition can uplift their spirits and reinforce how much we value their contributions to our students' lives.
Let's take this opportunity to celebrate the incredible people who make GMH more than just a school – but a community of learning, care, and support.
Have a wonderful week!
Warmly,
Mr. Robinson

SYSTEMS
PowerSchool is an advanced Student Information System used by schools across the country. Its functions include grading, attendance, and the scheduling of courses. PowerSchool is capable of allowing parents and students to access student grades and attendance in real time, as well as state assessment individual reports. The purpose of this feature is to increase communication and collaboration among parents, students, and teachers. It gives parents and guardians more information about their child’s education and encourages students to take increased ownership of their learning.
Parents/Guardians are provided an opportunity each fall to review their contact information and their student's information in PowerSchool, yet it is important to contact our data manager Mrs. Bland if any parent/guardian or student information has changed at any time during the year. This will ensure families receive all school communications including (but not limited to) report cards, inclement weather notifications, emergencies, and weekly updates from the school.
