Dear Parents and Guardians,
As we enter our final week of school, we have several exciting activities planned to celebrate our students and close out what has been a wonderful year. Here's what's happening this week:
Monday & Tuesday - Retesting Many of our students will participate in retesting sessions as a second chance at proficiency. Official scores for Reading and Math were sent home with students on Friday. We have developed a clear plan for retesting that ensures students are afforded this opportunity in a respectful manner that will be free from distraction. All other students will be expected to work on academic activities during this time, reviewing final information and extending lessons learned throughout the year.
Monday & Tuesday - Yondr Pouch Collection We will begin collecting Yondr Pouches that were distributed earlier in the year on Monday. Students should bring their pouches to school if they have them at home. Please remind your child that phones must still remain turned off and put away at school. As a reminder, the cost of a replacement pouch is $25 and will be placed on your student account. Once we collect and complete our final inventory, a notice will be sent to families who have a lost or damaged pouch with details on how to pay.
Wednesday - Field Day All students will participate in our annual Field Day celebration with fun activities throughout campus from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM. The remainder of the day will include time with classmates, Jeremiah’s Italian Ice, and a end of year celebration in which we draw raffle prizes for our students.
Volunteer Opportunity: We would love parent volunteers to help make Field Day special! If you're available to volunteer from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM on Wednesday, please reach out to me (Mr. Robinson) via email. There will be various athletic events, art stations, music stations, and science experiments for you to help with. Parents can also follow along with their child’s grade level as they transition between activities.
Water Donation Request: We would greatly appreciate donations of bottled water cases for our students during Field Day. Water donations can be dropped off at the front office on Monday or Tuesday.
Thursday & Friday - Award Ceremonies We look forward to our end of year award ceremonies and our annual 8th grade promotion ceremony. Please review the schedule below.
Reflecting on Our Year
We are incredibly proud of our students and the growth they've shown throughout this school year. Our recent testing data shows gains in many areas, and we're continuing to work with students to help them reach their full potential. Thank you for your partnership and support throughout this year. Your involvement in your child's education makes all the difference in their success.
We look forward to celebrating with our students during this final week!
Warm regards,
Mr. Robinson
