March 9, 2025
Dear Parents and Guardians,
I'm excited to share that this week marks the beginning of our Spring Sports Season! Our student-athletes will be in action starting Monday with our girls soccer team hosting their first home game. On Tuesday, our Baseball and Softball teams will travel to J.S. Waters, and Thursday will see our Volleyball team hosting Silk Hope. We hope you'll come out to cheer on our Wildcats!
We've designated March as our "March to Mastery" month across the school. During this time, our teachers will continue to dive headfirst into the curriculum with students as we work toward completing our pacing guides over the next month or two. Once we move into April and May, we'll begin transitioning into our review phase to prepare students for end-of-year assessments.
In the coming weeks, you'll be receiving information about both our remaining activities this year and planning for next year. I encourage you to read through all communications carefully and stay informed about what's happening at our school. Our teachers are always available to answer any questions you might have, so please don't hesitate to reach out to them directly.
To ensure we're meeting each student's specific needs during our review periods, we'll be analyzing data from STAR assessments, NC Check-ins, and other evaluations. This approach allows us to provide targeted support where it's most beneficial.
As we look toward the end of the year, I want to reassure you that all our beloved traditions will continue as planned, including Field Day, Awards Ceremonies, and the 8th Grade Social. We'll also begin conversations about next year's schedule, help students select their elective classes, and identify areas where additional support may be needed for the coming year.
Thank you for your continued partnership in your child's education. Your support plays a vital role in our school's success.
Sincerely,
Mr. Robinson
