Descrição: This December join us for our Oxford Teachers' Day!
In collaboration with Universidade Europeia, we are delighted to offer a day of Ministry accredited professional development training.
Our leading international Trainers include Jamie Keddie, Marie Delaney, and Nina Lauder. Sessions will cover topics such as Special
Educational Needs, teaching with technology and storytelling in the classroom.
Attendance is free of charge and lunch and refreshments will be provided. Places are limited, so please reserve early to avoid
disappointment.

Speakers
Jamie Keddie is a teacher, teacher trainer and writer. He is the founder of LessonStream.org, and the winner of a British Council ELTons award. Jamie's areas of interest include the use of visual materials, storytelling and video technologies in the classroom. His publications include 'Images' (OUP 2009) and 'Bringing online video into the classroom' (OUP 2014). He is also the author of 'Videotelling', an e-book which was published in 2015.
Marie Delaney trained in the UK as an Educational Psychotherapist, English Language and Modern Foreign Languages Teacher and Teacher Trainer. She has extensive experience of working with pupils with special educational needs and supporting staff in schools. She has worked on outside school projects with young offendors and those at risk of exclusion from school – as well as in primary and secondary schools with pupils considered ‘unteachable.' She has been Director of Studies for International House, Poland, Course Director for Teacher Training at Pilgrims and has trained teachers in several countries for Pilgrims and the British Council.
Nina Lauder has been teaching at all levels since 1990 and has been involved in educational consulting and teacher training for over a decade. She has given workshops all over Spain and abroad, and has collaborated with the British Council, Bell International and Oxford University Press on professional development programmes. She is one of the authors of Explorers (OUP) and the Think! Do! Learn! series (OUP-CLIL). She has published several articles and is the editor of the Oxford Magazine for Pre-Primary and Primary teachers. She currently works as an author, teacher trainer, editor and educational consultant.
Ana Raquel Fernandes is Assistant Professor at the Universidade Europeia. Laureate International Universities, Portugal. She is a researcher at ULICES (University of Lisbon Centre for English Studies). She is also the PI of the Research Project entitled The Reception of British and Irish Short Fiction in Portugal and Portuguese Short Fiction in the United Kingdom and Ireland (1980-2010). She is the author of What about the Rogue? Peter Lang, 2011 (Honourable Mention ESSE Book Award 2012) and O Pícaro e o Rogue, Colibri, 2006. Dr Fernandes has also published a range of journal articles and book chapters on aspects of British and Portuguese contemporary fiction.
Cristina Greene is an ESL instructor, Blended Learning Coordinator and Researcher of Education and Digital Technology. She grew up between Vermont, United States and Algarve, Portugal. She received her BA from Oberlin College where she majored in Sociology and French. She started her teaching career in Boston and since 2007 she has taught English in several countries, including South Korea, Turkey and Portugal. In 2013, she embarked on a Master Degree in Education and Digital Technology at the Institute of Education of the University of Lisbon where she wrote her Master’s thesis on the Flipped Classroom model and its impact on education.
Helena Oliveira has a degree in Modern Languages and Literature (FLUC), and holds a master's degree in English Didactics (FCSH-UNL). She teaches English to 10 to 17-year-old students. She is an APPI member, actively participates in conferences and seminars, and has written several articles for the APPI Journal and Newsletter.
