Northwest Georgia Resa's Instructional Technology Department has developed a learning series for districts in our area. These sessions are held every Tuesday and Thursday during the month of September at 3:30. Learning sessions will last 30 minutes and focus on a variety of EdTech tools such as Seesaw, EdPuzzle, Desmos Math, Google Tour Creator, and much more.

Quick Tech Tip!

Master Screencaster

Master Screencaster is a program designed to showcase your skills as an educator using Screencastify. Take the quick course and pass the quiz to earn your Screencaster badge today!

For Students:

Screencast Jr. is free 10 minute certification course taught by Holly Clark and is designed to get students ready to screencast. This course will be a great addition to your LMS as a way students can gain skills and get ready to use Screencastify to demonstrate learning. There are many ways students can use screencasts in the classroom.

Some of my favorites are:

Giving a speech or performance

Practicing fluency

Providing feedback

Narrating Slideshows

Dubbing a video

Creating instructional videos

We have Screencastify for our entire district, so if you haven't started using it yet - give it a try today! You will need to install this extension from the Chrome Webstore and follow the steps to set it up using your Google account.

Watch this great video from Amy with Fried Technology to help you get started after installing Screencastify.
