Check out the video to see how to use Audio Recorder available through the Chrome Web Store*. Please remember if you would like this extension, or any others, added you will need to let us know by completing this Form.
*An extension is not needed to try an audio recording, but may help students with the process. The built-in microphone on a Chromebook works in the same manner.
Exit tickets are excellent. I have used them for years and loved being able to provide a way for students to reflect on the lesson. Another positive for exit tickets was the information I was able to quickly gain so I could better prepared for the next lesson.
However, paper exit tickets can be time consuming to sort through when you have multiple classes, and the time spent reading (and deciphering) the writing can be overwhelming. Technology has helped with my organizing of these tickets by providing a digital copy I could access anytime, but there were still problems.
Students were slow typers
Some still struggled with spelling and getting thoughts out
Just because a student struggles with writing, doesn't mean they don't have ideas worthy of sharing. The built in microphone on a Chromebook can be leveraged to provide voice for students to get their thoughts out and make exit tickets easier than ever to use.
*Special thank you Ms. Roberts in the STEM lab for use of materials and to Teresa Nguyen, Melissa Villanueva, and Ashley Vasquez on their hard work to create these trophies.
*Special thank you to Ms. Hughes and Patrick Gilreath on the design of digital badges for Jacket YOU this year.
