New Google Certified Educators

Caroline Atkins, Lesley Lane, Kate Christian, Sara Webb, Peggie Bledsoe, and Betty Payne passed their Level 1 Google Certification Exam during the fall semester. Lisa Holden and Jonathan Elakman passed the Level 2 Google Certification Exam. All eight teachers spent October and November preparing for the Google Certification Exam by attending the provided Google Bootcamp to learn more about all the tools available through Google. 

Another chance to earn Google Certification will take place during Spring semester. An informational meeting will be provided Monday, January 27th at 3:30. Location TBD.

Parlay

Parlay is an online discussion platform that will transform your classroom discussions. There are many topics you can pull from in the library, or you can create your own. The pre-made discussions have videos and readings to provide background knowledge so students are prepared for the discussion. Then students submit written responses to the prompt and respond to each other in writing.  Finally the class can conduct live round table discussions to wrap up the lesson. When the discussion is over, you will get a report of student participation and engagement throughout the discussion.
