Tech Tuesday will take place at both locations on Tuesday, January 15th.

"Create Dynamic Infographics using Buncee" by Becky Davis
Complex: Meet at 3:15 in the Commons area for snacks and door prizes before starting sessions.
Campus: Meet at 3:30 in the PLC for snacks and door prizes before starting sessions.
The school with the most participation will win a drink pass for those participants.

For the past 10 years, Google has held a contest for students to be able to participate in the creation of a new Doodle for the Google home page. Winners of the contest earn scholarships and money for technology in their schools. The theme this year is 'When I Grow Up, I hope...'

Gapminder is a website dedicated to ending ignorance in the world. The site conducts surveys to find where misconceptions lie, and Gapminder provides teaching materials and data to help others develop a more global understanding. The tools within Gapminder bring world statistics to life. The interactive data provide a glimpse into world trends about population, economics, birth rate, and so much more. One aspect of Gapminder I found particularly interesting was Dollar Street. Dollar Street provides a real life look at economic differences across the globe and provides a glimpse into the lives of people across the world.
Ms. Langford's 6th grade classes have enjoyed learning more about how historical events have impacted the world's population through the use of Gapminder.
