Mrs. Miller

I am Shelly Miller and the teacher of the Newspaper class, otherwise known as the SPY. I also teach Personal Finance, Digital Media, Small Business, and Internship. I have been at the CAM High School for 12 years by the end of this school year. I love teaching high schoolers because you can discuss all types of topics and engage them in great conversation. I am married to Gary, who is the Agriculture teacher at CAM and I have two sons, Ethan and Blake who both graduated from CAM in the last few years.

Haley Luke

Haley Luke is the daughter of Mike Luke. She is the middle child, but she is the favorite. She is currently a senior at CAM High School. She will be attending DMACC after high school. Haley is a very active student being involved in cheer, speech, FFA, and student council. In her little free time, she can be found intently watching Grey's Anatomy on Netflix or more commonly found taking a nap. Her favorite food is waffles and her all time favorite movie is Monsters Inc. Haley lives by the quote, “Passing is thriving.”

Kaylee Hardin

Kaylee Hardin is a senior at CAM High School. She moved to Anita the summer before her sophomore year and has loved it ever since. She is involved in Student Council, Debate, Speech, FFA, National Honor Society, and cheer. In her clubs, she holds the Secretary position in FFA. When she “grows-up”, she wants to attend the Northwest Missouri State University and get her degree in Agriculture Education. After Kaylee gets her degree, she wants to come back to CAM and teach. Her hobbies include taking naps, watching Netflix, and scrolling through Tik Tok.

Halee Nichols

Halee Nichols is a junior at CAM High School. She is originally from Adair but moved to Anita in the fourth grade. She is the daughter of Aimee and Terry Nichols. She is involved in dance team, golf, and track. After high school Halee is planning on going to college to get a degree in psychology to eventually get a degree for psychiatry. She spends most of her time at Dance Atlantic.

Journalists

Allison Spieker

Allison Spieker is the daughter of Chris and Shana Spieker. She is the oldest child and is currently a senior at CAM High School. She plans to attend Northwest for elementary education. She is involved in volleyball, basketball, softball, track, FFA, 4-H, and boomerang. When she has free time she likes to watch Netflix, hang out with friends and family, and spend time in the gym. Her favorite food is french fries, and she is addicted to Dr. Pepper. Allison lives by the quote "Don't stop until you're proud."

Jacob Holste

Jacob is the son of Joseph and Jennifer Holste and has three brothers; Dan, 25, Michael, 23, and Nick, 19. He also has a dog named Rizzo. Jacob is currently a senior and is involved in basketball, baseball, football, track, Boomerang, and is the Senior Class Co-President. After high school he plans to attend a community college and possibly play a sport. He enjoys being involved in sports, playing video games, and spending lots of time with his friends and family. His favorite color is red and his favorite food is popsicles.

Emily Lee

Emily Lee grew up in Ottosen, Iowa and went to TRV Schools before transferring to West Bend- Mallard. After her mom got a job at CCHS, she moved to Anita and started going to CAM in eighth grade. She is now a senior in high school and loves being involved in speech, debate, band, and newspaper. She is the daughter of Sean and Julie Lee and she enjoys sleeping in her free time. She plans to go to a two-year college after high school and transfer to the University of Iowa for pre-medical studies, hoping to become a dermatologist in the future.

Mason Chester

Mason Bradley Chester is a Senior at CAM High School playing Football, Basketball, Track, and Baseball. His brother’s names are Austin, and Brayden Chester. His parents names are Cheri and Brad Chester. His hobbies are playing sports and help working cattle on the farm with his Dad. His favorite movie is the (Back of the Barnyard). His favorite food is (Buffalo Wild Wings). His future plans is not going to college but working for the salebarn, and taking over the farm and having a herford bull and put it on black cows.

Nate Hensley

Nate Hensley is the son of Mark and Jolene Hensley. He has two brothers, Thomas,19 and Seth,14. Nate is a senior and is involved in football, basketball, track, baseball and a member of the CAM FFA chapter. Nate is currently an intern at Browns Electric in Atlantic. After high school he plans to attend a community school and then go to Iowa State University to study business. Some of Nate’s hobbies are playing sports, hanging out with friends, and spending time with family.
