Pink-Out Pom Performance

On February 7th, 2020, the CAM Dance Team performed in honor of the Pink Out game. The nine girls performed a two-and-a-half minute pom routine that they have been preparing for three weeks. Abby Follmann, Halee Nichols, and Jade Jackson will also be performing a pom and kick routine at the Boy’s State Basketball Tournament on March 5th, 6th, and 7th at Wells Fargo Arena. CAM Dance Team Places 3rd

On Thursday, December 5th, six CAM Dance Team members, Jade Jackson, Natalie Blaine, Bionca Wendt, Halee Nichols, Abby Follmann, and Kylie Alff performed at Wells Fargo Arena. The team travelled to Des Moines on Wednesday, staying that night. They woke up the next day bright and early for their performance at 8:15. They were in class 1 jazz competing against 11 other teams in that category. They waited for the awards ceremony at 8:00 p.m. that night. The girls received a Division 1 ranking and 3rd place overall. Good job ladies!

On November 26th, six participants of the CAM Dance Team performed at the girl’s varsity basketball game against AHSTW. The girls performed their state routine and will be performing at Wells Fargo Arena on December 5th. They will perform at approximately 8:30 a.m. with a Class I jazz routine. Good luck ladies!

State Dance Team

State Solo Competition

On Saturday, November 2nd, Halee Nichols, from CAM’s dance team, performed at the Iowa State Dance Team Association (ISTDA) solo competition in Newton. Nichols performed a lyrical piece and competed against 60 other competitors from Class I. She received a division one ranking, placing her in the top 25 with over 70 points.

Three Selected for All Iowa Honor Dance Team

On August 24th, 2019, the CAM Dance Team participated in All Iowa tryouts. The four girls traveled to Ames Middle School where they learned a two-minute pom and kick routine. Jade Jackson, Halee Nichols, Abby Follmann, and Madison Holtz auditioned for the honor. On September 18th, the coach announced that Halee, Jade, and Abby were selected. They will travel to the Wells Fargo Arena on March 4th to perform at the boys' state basketball tournament.
