Our new student for this edition is Karsen Croghan, who is a sophomore. He originally comes from East Mills, which is near Red Oak. When asked about his previous school compared to ours, he mentions the scheduling and classes are different, mostly with the lineup of classes. When asked about siblings, he says he has a younger brother, who is in 7th grade. Karsen is participating in football and plays the tight end position. His favorite thing about CAM is how nice everyone is. Welcome to CAM, Karsen!

One of CAM’s new students is Jenna Grubbs. She originally hails from AC/GC. When asked about her previous school, she mentioned there were more classes at AC/GC than CAM, though similar sports. She explained she has a half brother and 2 other brothers. She participates in several sports, including volleyball, basketball, and softball! She likes all the friendly faces she sees here at CAM and the variety of sports as well. She is currently a sophomore and boasts great potential for the sports she plays! CAM’s first new student interview is our foreign exchange student, Taissia Lyu, who comes from Russia. When asked about her previous school, she goes into great detail about the comparison of CAM to her previous school. Titov, the name of the school she went to, offers no extra curricular sports, has very different class formations, and the students are arranged based on their grade. When asked about her family, she noted that she’s half Russan and half Chinese. She also has a little sister. She participates in no sports at CAM at the moment, but she is hoping to compete in cross-country. As for her favorite part about CAM, she likes how open-minded the people she’s met are, how supportive teachers are, and how the school and it’s classes are laid out. She is in 12th grade, though she says that people have confused her for being a sophomore, since she hangs around them the most. Welcome to CAM high school Taissia!
