The Jester lighting desk operates the lights on the rig in Studio B.
The Jester operates in four distinct modes. Preset, Program, Run and Super User. Each mode has its own use.
The modes are :
Preset Mode – Nothing programmed, everything happens manually.
Program Mode – Stores lighting states into the desk as cues.
Run Mode - Plays back stored lighting states as cues.
Super User - Settings only. It is easiest to run in Preset Mode, in order to manually change the lights during your work.
If you wish to record lighting states into cues, via the ‘program mode’, consult a Technical Demonstrator.
In the corner of the studio, to the right of the Jester lighting console is a red switch which needs to be positioned to On.
The DMX & lighting desk needs powering on via the two labelled plugs to the left of the lighting console
On the lighting console, ensure the Mode button is set to Preset
