What's in the box:
Gimbal
Battery / Handle
Stand
Riser plate
USB cable
Screw the support stand to the battery handle and open the stand.
Remove the gimbal from the case. This is best done with the velcro attached around the gimbal arms as they then don't move around as you attach it to the stand.
Attach the gimbal by sliding it onto the top of the handle.
Be careful to lock the gimbal in position, but don't pull the lock lever too far over, just enough that it holds securely.
Attach the riser plate and base plate to your camera, making sure that the camera is all ready to use - has battery, lens, SD card etc in place. If you changes these after attaching to the gimbal it will affect the balance settings.
Attach the camera to the gimbal, by pressing in the release button and sliding the camera into position from the front of the gimbal.
Balance the camera so that it sits horizontally on it's own before locking with the lever.
To balance the Tilt axis, position the camera with the lens facing upwards and adjust the Tilt slider until the camera stays in position unaided.
Set the camera so that it is facing forwards, and adjust the Roll slider until the camera balances without tilting left or right.
Adjust the Pan slider so that when you tilt the gimbal from left to right, the camera should stay still.
To power on the gimbal, press the power button at the base of the battery handle first, followed by the power button on the side of the gimbal.
If you have a smart phone with bluetooth connectivity, install the DJI Ronin app. This will allow you to complete the balance set up of the gimbal, and quick access to making changes to settings.
If the app is not available via the Apple or Play Store, then go to the DJI website to download the app - https://www.dji.com/uk/downloads/djiapp/dji-ronin
Open the App and connect to the Ronin device.
Select the Ronin device if not already connected.
If prompted, password is 12345678
Click on Motor Parameters > Auto Tune
Click on Balance Test > Begin Test
Once the balance test is complete, you want the results to show 'Excellent'. If you get a different result you will need to rebalance each axis and run the test again.
To power off the gimbal, make sure to press off the power button on the gimbal first, followed by the button on base of the battery handle (by quickly pressing 3 times followed by one long press)
There is a USB cable for charging.
