There are a few points to consider:
Use a Ronin S, as the Ronin RSC is not strong enough.
You will need to use a kit zoom lens from a Canon 700d as the large 24-70mm zooms with the C100 kits are too heavy.
Choose the smaller battery on the C100 as it's lighter, but more importantly gives you more clearance.
Lastly, you will need to carefully take off the side handle of the C100, as there is no room for it. You can fire the Canon from the front button on the body, and use the Auto Iris button on the side for the aperture. However, if you want manual control of the Iris, you will need to assign two of the buttons on the side.
It is best to do this before you balance the camera and you have the lightweight Canon 18-55mm zoom lens fitted.
Go to the menu > OTHER FUNCTIONS (the wrench icon) > down to ASSIGNABLE BUTTONS.
There you can choose two buttons close together, say MAGNIFICATION and PEAKING which are numbered 8 and 9. (though you can use any combination you want)
Now you can use these to adjust the Iris.
There is always the PUSH AUTO IRIS button as well which you can use, as long as you are in the ballpark for exposure with your ND filter and ISO.
Another useful tip, is to go into the AF (autofocus menu) and depending on what will be in your frame, experiment with CONTINUOUS or FACE PRIORITY
Making sure AF is selected on the lens.
You balance the camera, in the usual way, adding the battery and card, removing the lens cap and opening out the flip screen to the side so you can see it.
Start with the slider plate for the tilt first axis , then the roll. It gets tricky as you cannot tilt the camera fully backwards when finishing the tilt axis as the eyepiece clashes with the roll axis, so you have to tilt the camera forward, and off-set it a little to the side, to clear the lens from the rotate axis.
Once you have balanced the camera, open the Ronin app and connect the camera.
As the camera is probably heavier than the last camera used by the app, it's best to use the AUTO FUNCTION tool in the MOTOR PARAMETERS section, before you do the balance test, otherwise the rig struggles with the camera during the test.
