I am in the Department of Math, Physics, and Statistics, and I have been here for 25 years.
I teach Applied Calculus, Math for Secondary Teachers, Math for Elementary Teachers and College Algebra.
My area of teaching and research is Math education. I just presented a paper in Shanghai this summer at the International Conference on Mathematics Education (ICME).
I got interested in studying Math because I had a great Calculus teacher in college.
I find the most enjoyable parts of APU are the students and the chance to share my faith in Christ.
I like to snow ski, ride my mountain bike, rock climb, scuba dive, water ski, hike, fly airplanes, anything outdoors!
My best vacation ever was hiking across the Swiss Alps from Fance to Austria with my youngest daughter, Hannah. It was 200 miles and lots of climbing.
