I am the program director of APU's Graduate Program in Applied Statistics and Anaytics, and a faculty member in the Department of Mathematics, Physics, and Statistics. I joined APU in Fall 2019.
I am teaching Introduction to Modeling with Probability, Mathematical Statistics, Applied Logistic Regression and Survival Analysis, Applied Longitudinal Data Analytics, and Statistical Consulting Practicum.
I became interested in Applied Statistics because it involves working with data from various fields, and can contribute to making informed decisions based on data. I teach various courses in Applied Statistics, including Mathematical Statistics and Applied Statistics. My research area involves the development of statistical methodology for application in various disciplines such as clinical trials in neurological disease, cardiovascular disease, and in mental health research, collaborating with experts in various fields.
I have always liked Mathematics, and I decided to pursue a major in Mathematics when I was in high school. After graduating from college, I wanted to study Statistics and work with data, and my interest in interdisciplinary collaborations confirmed my desire to specialize in Biostatistics.
I appreciate being in APU, a Christian community, and especially enjoy working with students and faculty who are passionate about faith integration and Christian education.
I enjoy playing and listening to music, and being in nature.
I can't think of anything else at the moment!
