Mood boards

What are they?

Often used in the design industry, mood boards are a collection of images and items arranged to create a sense of emotion or style for a particular project. They can be digital or 3D.

Why/when are they used?

Mood boards are used to help communicate ideas before beginning a project. They can help to set a tone prior to work and are often utilized in meetings when the lingua franca (English) is not the native language for all participants. They can anchor the project participants and provide inspiration.
