Elements of Art
Line: using the horizontal plane, draw two “parallel” curving lines approximately 4 inches apart. The lines should be near the center of your paper.
Shape/Lettering: write your name or word of choice between the lines using a variety of creative block lettering. Vary the fonts, capital and lowercase, size, and stacking.
Use of space: fill the space between the lines with your letters, leaving as little space between the letters as possible. Do not overlap the letters.
Space, line, and shape in background: use line and/or basic shapes to create a design behind your letters.
Color: introduction to color schemes
