Accordion books
Accordion books are super versatile and can be used for just about anything. We'll be making books to show your favorite things so your pod members and I can get to know you a little better.
1. Overview: what does it look like when it's put together?
2. Folding--this is your canvas, make sure it's neatly done.
3. Topics: you will choose 4 of the topics below to include. This is the minimum. If you finish early, you will add more drawings as we have time.
To get started, google "variety of lettering" and find a font you want to use to write your name. Write it lightly on the front cover, and when you are ready, go over it with sharpie.
Inside your book. You'll include 4 topics minimum. Here are some things to keep in mind to make your drawings successful.
keep a reference handy--you need to look at what you are drawing
simplify the image: google "cartoon" versions, or "simple", or "how to draw"
make a moodboard (pic collage) and refer back to the images there
draw lightly until you have your image the way you want it
The process: for each topic, you will need to research images and create a moodboard. Save 7 images of the topic in pic collage, and then upload to google classroom. Use the images on your moodboard as references while you draw. You are required to include at least 4 topics from the list below in your accordion book.
